Summer 2015
You can't seriously play futsal for 52 weeks a year if you work, have family holdays etc. For that reason Leeds FC are off season and will return back to competitive games later in the autumn.
Local newbies steal our identity!
It was a great surprise to us that another club should choose to adopt our club name in 2014. "Leeds Futsal Club" is a good identity but only the club which affiliates that name with the West Riding County FA is entitled to use it. Perhaps those responsible were jealous of our history and heritage but you can't gain that simply by changing your name.
This seems to have been happening by stealth. In 2011 Wakefield Futsal Club was formed. They changed their name to Leeds & Wakefield after a couple of seasons. In Spring 2014 the Wakefield name was dropped.
Since then they have decided not to compete in the National Futsal League which obviously reduces their profile. We have suggested working together but have received the response that they are "not interested". Whatever their plans may be let us state it clearly...

Not to be confused with other products of a similar name.
Leeds Futsal Club win the league!

With over 160 goals, a top score of 23-0 and a squad flexible enough to allow the keeper to score 4, Leeds FC cruised to the title.
Leeds are now a force to be reckoned with and generally control the flow of their games. It all starts again next week.
